The first major of 2025 will be decided when the world’s top players head to Augusta National Golf Club for the 2025 Masters Tournament. The most epic stage of golf, starting Thursday, April 10th, is packed with star-studded 2025 Masters, filled with popular names such as Scotty Schaeffler, Player Championship winners Rory McIlroy, John Lahm, Bryson Denham and Jordans Piece. Schaeffler could be the first golfer to win a consecutive green jacket from 2001-2002 since Tiger Woods. Schaeffler won the Masters in 2022. This was one of 13 PGA Tour victories, winning the field last year as a +325 favorite on four strokes.
Schaeffler, the world’s No. 1 and runner-up at last week’s Houston Open, is +400, and will be repeated following his latest 2025 Masters Odds in Fan Duell after falling low to +380 on Sunday. He is followed by McIlroy (13-2), Rahm (14-1), Colin Morakawa (16-1), Rudig Aberg (18-1), Xander Schaufele (18-1), Deccanbo (20-1), Justin Thomas (22-1), Justin Thomas (22-1), Matsui Hideki (30-1), and Joaquin Nieman (30-1). Scheffler has 12.1% of the handle at BETMGM, while McIlroy has 14.8% and Aberg has 9.2%. Woods, a five-time Masters champion, is likely not to play because Achilles burst, and was 140-1 to win. Before the 2025 master locks his master pick, make sure to check out the early golf predictions and predicted leaderboards from the Sportsline’s proven computer models.
The Sportsline’s proprietary model, built by DFS Pro Mike McClure, has been red hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, since the model has grown nearly $9,500 with its best bet since its post-tournament reboot.
This same model nailed a whopping 13 majors over the weekend, including the 2024 Master (the third Master) and last year’s PGA Championship and the US Open. Anyone who follows Sports Betting Pick has seen massive returns from betting apps like Fanduel, Draftkings, Fanatics and more.

2025 Master Prediction
One of the big surprises the model is looking for at Masters 2025: a two-time Masters champion and a pretty favorite of the year, Scotty Scheffler can’t finish on the leaderboard. Schaeffler could be the first golfer since Tiger Woods (2001-02) to successfully defend the title with another victory at Augusta National.
However, Schaeffler has been struggling with putters this season, ranking 79th in the 1-putt percentage (40.56%) and 86th in the stroke. Scheffler’s inability to eject PUTT is ranked 91st on the 28-year-old birdie average (3.95). This model found better values among top 205 master candidates.
Another surprise: Justin Thomas, a long shot at 22-1, runs strong in the title. He is the target of anyone looking for a huge payday, as he has a much better chance than his odds imply.
Thomas is a two-time major champion and has recorded 15 career victory on the PGA Tour. He is a veteran veteran and has all the tools he needs to get involved in the mix of Augusta National. Thomas has finished T-12 or higher in three of his last six startes with the Masters, playing early in the 2025 PGA Tour season. He was runner-up at the American Express in January and won the Valspar Championship in March. Thomas is also ranked as one of the best putters on the PGA Tour, making it a strong and valuable pick for the 2025 Masters bet. See who else you choose here.
