The 2025 NBA postseason began this week, with the Warriors and Magic now officially taking part in the playoffs. Golden State and Orlando won the seventh seed in the West and East, respectively, as they won the Play-In Tournament on Tuesday night. The postseason schedule continued with a play-in game on Wednesday as the Heat eliminated the bull and the Mavericks eliminated the King. The first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs will begin on Saturday.
The Warriors face the Rockets in the first round, with Magic facing reality champion Celtics in the Best Seven Series. By Friday night we’ll know all eight first-round matchups, four of whom were set at the end of the regular season: the Knicks vs East Pistons and the Paser vs Bucks, the Lakers vs Timberwolves and the Nuggets vs West Clippers.
All eight first-round series will begin this weekend, with the first round likely to run until May 4th. The NBA Finals are scheduled to start on June 5th.
