As the final step before the NCAA tournament, the sports sprint into tournament mode will bring four 2025 men’s frozen four heats.
Six conference tournament champions will win spots on the NCAA field, closing out the field of 16 teams (based on pairwise rankings) by teams between 10. The NCAA Tournament Bracket will be released on March 23rd on ESPNU and ESPN+.
Regional play begins on March 27th with regional finals March 29th and 30th, and Frozen Four will be in St. Louis on April 10th and 12th. All games will be broadcast on the ESPN network and streamed on ESPN+.
The three leagues (Atlantic, CCHA, ECAC) look like a one-bid league. This means that conference tournaments are likely to determine the only NCAA representative.
Below is a picture of the tournament schedule for each conference that will be updated with the results as the game plays, and see photos of the NCAAs for each league. (All Times et.)
All games from Hockey East and ECAC Tournament, as well as all NCAA Tournament games, will be available on ESPN+. Subscribe to our watch.
Atlantic hockey
With Atlantic lining up as a one-bid league, Holy Cross, who won its first regular season title since 2006 and appeared on the 12-1-1 heater, will need to stay on the roll to make an NCAA field and win the league tournament. The Crusades sacrificed the AIC and advanced to the semi-finals. This did my best to extend my time as a Division I program, but I worked overtime in Game 3.

Big Ten
Pennsylvania is as hot as any team in the country, closing out the regular season with four of the six points in the weekend series against Minnesota, heading towards the right side of the pairwise bubble by sweeping Michigan in the Big 10 quarterfinals. This loss leaves Wolverine on unstable ground due to a massive bid. Michigan and Minnesota are in positions to become the first species, but the Gophers’ lawsuit was hurt by a quarter-final loss to Notre Dame, while Ohio is in a position to make the field.

ECAC
Quinnipiac is in the fringe of the NCAA bubble, but there is another loss figure to knock the Bobcats out of a massive contest, and perhaps making this another bid league. However, the ECAC is deep and the tournament is wide open as Clarkson, Colgate, Cornell and Dartmouth are all in pairwise top 25.
