The biggest sneaker trend that has ever emerged in 2025 celebrates huge luxury and personal style. But Emily Ratajkowski claimed that she had co-signed a revived footwear trend, returning to her modest sneaker silhouette in 2024.
While many celebrities have embraced the adidas samba, including everyone from Kaia Gerber to Anne Hathaway, the supermodel appears to be steering another revived sneaker trend for those ready to move on from popular styles.
Ratajkowski recently took a photo in New York City wearing Black Puma Speed Cat sneakers, a style loved by supermodels and celebrities. She completed her outfit with black bootcut jeans and an oversized burgundy leather jacket.

Both Ratajkowski and Dua Lipa have been fans of the Puma Speedcat style for the past year. The fact that popular sneakers are retailers for around $100 is perfectly in line with the slimmer silhouettes ever preferred in 2025, but they are seriously accessible.
Rihanna’s love for the brand was less obvious than the launch of her latest Fenty X Puma collaboration. The collection also includes footwear that is clearly inspired by Speed Cat. The Avanti Ls ($120) features a large tongue and spiked heel, and its shape resembles everyone’s favorite slim pumas sneakers.

Puma isn’t the only brand that embraces the public’s love for Slender Sneaker trends. Jamie Lee, shoe buyer for luxury retailer Moda Operandi, previously told Marie Claire, “It-Sneakers are even more refined with extremely thin soles, tapping on the market share of ballet flats.” From Prada’s recently released collapsed sneakers to Adidas Techwand shoes, shoppers have plenty of options if they’re ready to welcome the slim sneaker trends.

In a candid 2022 interview, Ratajkowski was paved with her path to becoming a successful model. “There have been many times in my career that I have thought about changing my career path and giving up on giving up,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “When I went to college, I thought I would completely quit modeling and become an artist, so I started leaving full-time models and dabbling in acting… I feel like I’m constantly evolving.”
