Brad Arnold – the lead singer of 3-door down – has cancer…and he revealed the news in an emotional social media post.
The musician told many fans of the band that he had been diagnosed with clear cell kidney cancer, a type of kidney cancer. Arnold says the cancer has spread to his lungs…stage 4 diagnosis.
Brad says he is trying to remain positive… to give God all his glory – adding his faith means he is not scared at all.
That said, Arnold has told fans that the three door down tours this summer won’t continue…and he apologises to all the fans who are excited to cheer them on.
BA ends the message by saying that she adopts the band’s song “It’s Not My Time” as her personal anthem when fighting illness.
Arnold lowered three doors in 1996 when he was just a teenager. He wrote the band’s biggest song, “Cryptonite.”
3 Doors Down’s first album, “The Better Life,” has now become seven times more platinum…and their next three albums have also achieved Platinum status.
Brad is the group’s longest lifetime member… the only member he has been in the band since the band was formed.
