Dalar Myrna says the fighter plane killed his son

“My son, only 25,” says Dalal Makhna, tears filling her eyes. “They took him right from my side and told me, ‘We’re going to kill him and break your heart with that.” “

It was what was seen in her son’s last Dalal. She says he was shot dead by the gunman who accused him of.

Dalal comes from Syrian Alawi minority and has been targeting a surge in sectarian violence since last week.

“Everyone knew he had diabetes and anemia disorder, and he was just doing his best.”

The BBC team discovered that Dalal is seeking evacuation along with thousands of other people at remote Russian air force bases in the country’s western coastal region.

War watchdog groups say more than 1,400 civilians were killed in neighboring states of Latakia, Tartus, Hama and Homs from March 6th (most of which are Alawians).

Dalard is one of the few people willing to talk to us about what happened.

“Summary Execution”

Last week, security forces began operations in the region in response to rising rebellions by fighter jets loyal to the resigned President Bashar al-Assad.

The violence escalated after 13 security guards were killed in an ambush by gunmen in the coastal town town.

The shooters loyal to the Sunni Islamic-led government that replaced Assad are accused of committing revenge killings, primarily in Alawian communities, following the attack.

All families, including women and children, were killed in the next four days, according to the UN Human Rights Office.

On Wednesday, a spokesman told reporters that the UN had examined the killings of 111 civilians so far, but the actual figures were considered to be significantly higher.

Many of the cases were summary executions, he added.

When the violence began, reinforcements and Sunni talent flooded the area.

On the highway, our team found a car plagued by bullets.

It is unclear how many people died among them and the background to it.

However, it is difficult to imagine that everyone inside survived.

I don’t know who was in this car.

Coastal highways were secured and cleaned up after attacks by people who were described by officials as remnants of the previous administration. The attack was followed by acts of revenge against members of the Alawite faction.

However, our team saw dozens of bodies still scattered among bushes and mass graves during a tour with fighters belonging to the Syrian Ministry of Defense.

Security sources told the BBC that not all Assad’s loyalists behind the attack on Jableh have been killed.

Instead, when security forces deployed numerous reinforcements from across the country, they managed to retreat to nearby mountains.

“They all come from these villages,” said Mahmoud Al Haik, a soldier from the new government’s Ministry of Defence stationed in Baniyah, a Latakian countryside.

Syrian soldier Mahmoud Al-Haik (left) said there was disruption in the area

“What happened, everyone was part of these communities, but now they are all leaving the area.

“The area was a completely mixed chaos, but thank God. We were able to regain control. People started to return home.

Most of the villages in this area are still abandoned.

Fearing the murder of the sect, the residents fled to the mountains.

In a village on the outskirts of Baniya, our team met a small group of people who carefully returned to check out their homes and shops.

Alawite Wafiq Ismail said he was there when the attack took place, but he didn’t go to details.

“Brother, I really can’t say anything about it. I don’t know. That’s all… May God keep us safe from harm.”

“We need protection.”

In the Latakia countryside, control of Syrian security forces ends and the boundary of the Russian army’s Humeimim Air Base begins.

Thousands of Alawite families have evacuated to the base to escape attacks by various Syrians. They live in extremely tough circumstances.

That’s where Dalar says that her son was killed. Others have told us similar stories.

Most families have lost someone, such as a son, relative, or neighbor.

Another Alawian woman said, “We need international protection from what we are experiencing. We left our home, all left our livelihoods and came here.”

A very few details have been revealed regarding last Thursday’s attack and its significant sectarian impact. These were recognized by Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, who attacked the rebels who defeated Assad in December.

Sharaa promises to hold the perpetrators accountable, even if they are within his allies, saying, “We will not accept that blood is shed unfairly.”

However, few believe that the wounds caused by these events on the already severely wounded Syrian body will heal easily.
