Morikawa Colin fought back against media members who criticized his decision to snab reporters after not closing Arnold Palmer’s invited victory on Sunday.
The two-time major champion went three ahead on five holes playing at Bay Hill, and was on the verge of his first PGA Tour victory since October 2023.
Morikawa refused to speak to the media after the round, defending his decision with a build-up on players, and told reporters at a pre-tournament press conference that he was “just a p*****” and “I didn’t want to tell anyone.”

“we [Brandel Chamblee and I] He commented that he felt he had an obligation. For now, I keep in mind the vast amount of money they play and the importance of media in the game. You have a duty, even if it’s a small sound bite.

“The greatest players in the history of the game have always given interviews: Tiger Woods – and you can criticize them in so many different ways – but he’s interviewing that he never screams at any stage, even in his defeat.

“I’m with Paul [McGinley] And Brandel [Chamblee] -That’s one of the things you have to do. I was mean to my caddy, but after I did the press, everyone else, and that was how you let your tension go. Just leave them blank and that’s not a good thing. ”
