Detroit – Buffalo’s Alex Chuch and Detroit’s captain Michael Rasmussen first dropped their gloves in the third season, which was filled with a 7-3 victory fight on Wednesday night.
They were not even among the 11 players who evaluated the penalty for 10 minutes of fraud in the final frame. Six were from Buffalo and five others from Detroit.
Third final tally: 136 of the game’s 150 penalties, all but two are either rough, combat, or cheating.

The other nine misconduct came at the 16:51 mark. One of the judges announced a rough penalty for Detroit defender Simon Edvinson, saying, “Everyone else is trying to cheate.” The list included Edvinsson.
Buffalo had five players on the bench by the end of the game, along with Detroit’s Moritz Cedar, after Beck Marenstin was sent to roughen the final minute.
“There was a lot of emotion there,” Sabres’ Tage Thompson told reporters. “And we were a lot of frustrated with how things turned out during the game.”
