Mohn Ali says that former England teammate Harry Brook’s potential suspension from the IPL is “not harsh.”
Brooke has withdrawn his second year contract with the Delhi Capitals franchise as he prioritizes his five Test Series in India at home this summer, and his international commitment ahead of Australia’s ashes from November.
The new IPL rules provide that players who withdraw after auctions face a two-season ban.
Former England all-rounder Mohn Ali spoke before the beard before the cricket podcast as he was signed in defending IPL champion Kolkata Knight Rider ahead of the 2025 season that begins this weekend. [harsh]I agree a bit [the IPL bans].

“Many people [withdraw]. People have done it in the past and then come back and get better financial packages and more. That ruins a lot.
“It ruined his team. [Delhi Capitals] above, [Brook] Pull it out. The team that lost Harry Brook has been ruined a bit and now they have to rejig everything.
“Forget him for a moment, if you pull out, the rule is that you are prohibited unless you are a family reason or an injury. If it’s an injury, that’s not true. [the rules]. ”
Moeen: Brooke probably just wants a break
Brooke is one of the front runners who will take over England’s Whiteball captain with Jos Butler after an exit from the group stage at the Champions Trophy.
Sky Sports’ Nasser Fssein believes Brook is an obvious candidate to take over as England’s Whiteball Captain
York Sileman could have been in charge of ODI and T20 International, or perhaps the latter, if test skipper Ben Stokes became captain of 50 overs.
Moeen feels that Brook is an all-format player and may be trying to gain leadership position, which is the reason for the IPL’s withdrawal.
He added: [as] A big summer is approaching, and a big 12-month summer is approaching.
“England plays a lot, Brook plays in all forms, and he will probably be the captain on the whiteball side.
“It was a tough winter so he’s probably just a little more organized. That’s it.”

Added potential IPL bans for England leg spinner Adil Rashid Brook: “The rule is that you go to this. You know the outcome [of pulling out]So I don’t think it’s tough.
“This has been going on for a while. For five or ten years, a lot of people who were commonly chosen were generally drawn out, and that’s what they’re trying to stop.
“There are a lot of people who get their teams up and get up to stand up at the end, ruining things in terms of team dynamics.”
