MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell joked that he opened his show in an extraordinary way on March 11, cutting back on his network and dedicating most of his time to corporate brother, business channel CNBC.
“It’s a really exciting time to watch CNBC, especially if you watch CNBC during normal times,” the host told Rachel Madow in a handoff banter, adding that the business network “usually brings reasonable people to sleep.”
While that may sound harsh, the turmoil of the Trump administration’s opening game has driven business channels into the storm with his interactions on and off actions related to tariffs and reductions to reduce government.
