High pressures accumulate in the area on Tuesday, causing a trend of warming and dryness through expanded forecasts. The westerly wind is stable at 20-30 miles, making it a cool, windy morning. Wind recommendations from yesterday have been extended until 9am on the south facing beaches and interior mountains. High surf advisories are available for west facing beaches until 10pm, when waves are predicted to be around 8-10 feet. After a daytime break, as the wind begins to turn offshore, you begin to notice the trend of warming. This keeps the ocean layers at bay and blocks fog and warm temperatures in the 60s. The sky is clear, so go out and have fun.
Offshore flows clear the sky on Wednesday as there is a slight chance of fog occurring in typical fog-prone areas. With all the sunlight, we get warmer back in the mid- to late 60s, making it a perfect afternoon for running and hiking. No clocks, warnings or advisories expected.
High pressures are stable and offshore flow continues, which expands the minimum weather pattern shift. It’s a copy-and-paste, except for the lovely warming trends heading into the weekend. By Saturday, most of the area will be back in the 70s! Until Monday, temperatures will be around 8-10 degrees above average.
