NAIROBI – National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has suspended the operator license for the Super Metro Bus Company, beyond expiration permissions, speed limiter issues, and ineligible drivers.
Statements from the authorities outlined other violations of the company, including labor law violations.
The NTSA also warned citizens of the Super Metro vehicles on board, indicating that non-compliant vehicles will be trapped, starting with the Riconi inspection center.
“This means that the authorities have suspended the operator license for Super Metro Limited until the authorities fully comply with Public Service Vehicle Regulations, 2014 and other set conditions,” NTSA said in a statement.
“This decision was necessary due to the need to ensure that the company was not only compliant, but also implemented safety measures to protect the lives of passengers and other road users.”
