Ben Whitaker and Liam Cameron went head-on ahead of the High Stakes rematch to film their gloves on Thursday.
Whittaker and Cameron will have their second fight on Live on Sky Sports on Sunday, April 20th.
Cameron led the Lloyds Pro star and Olympic silver medalist Whitaker to technical decisions in October.
Injured, Whitaker couldn’t continue, and Cameron denounced him to “resign” him.
Whitaker says he’s been enjoying life in the spotlight and has perfected a better way to fall out of the ring for a rematch with Cameron
“It gets tough there and if it gets tough, then you want a path,” Cameron said. “When you were in pain and the fight wasn’t going down your path, he wanted to get out of there.
“He was useless [of it]. ”
Whitaker was a flashy fighter when he packed the box and is now famous for his showboat. However, Cameron believes he was disciplined by the first fight.
“He’s been a little different. He wasn’t exactly the same person. [on the Gloves Are Off]. He’s a pretty humble, nice guy. Bring a different approach. Cameron told Sky Sports News.
“I was there for a beat hit. He was there to show what he was made of… I stopped it.”
Whitaker rejected the “stop” proposal in his first fight with Cameron, saying he would fix that “bad” performance
Whitaker replied: “If he wants to go with it [quitting accusation] It’s great, more fuel. ”
Whittaker is determined to resolve the score.
“It was like the WWE scene,” Whittaker told Sky Sports News. “It’s boxing, these things aren’t written about and we can just turn them back together.
“Fortunately, the sufficient judgement day is April 20th.”
He added:
“The draw isn’t something you want, it’s a loss of my eyes and I’m really trying to get the wrong thing right, so I’m excited to do it.”
After a controversial first fight, Whitaker and Cameron went head-on to announce the rematch on April 20th
“It could be one of the best UK’s greatest ever.”
Whittaker will work with a new trainer for this rematch and bring former world champion Andy Lee to the corner.
“We reached out to Ben,” Lee told Sky Sports News. “Because I saw talent more than I could have been, and not leading it without a mentor or structure would be a tragedy.
“You’ll see great fights and great performances,” he added.
“Ben will be the generation of boxer where we look back and say one of the greatest ever in the UK.”
