President Donald Trump is scheduled to address the Digital Assets Summit in New York on Thursday, showing that the sitting US president spoke for the first time at the Cryptocurrency Industry Conference.
His speech follows Bo Hines, executive director of the White House Chairman’s Advisory Council on Digital Assets, which suggested the administration’s commitment to Bitcoin accumulation.
Hines said President Trump is focusing on acquiring Bitcoin for his recently announced strategic preparation, highlighting the importance of securing the country’s digital assets.
He suggested that the administration aims to get as much Bitcoin as possible, strengthening the growing role of cryptocurrencies in national policy.
The summit will also feature prominent speakers such as representatives Ro Khanna and Tom Emmer, as well as industry leaders such as strategy CEO Michael Saylor and Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse.
During the event, Garlinghouse announced that the SEC had withdrawn its appeal against Ripple, signaling significant developments for the company.
