Daphne Keene, who broke out as an 11-year-old child actor in Logan and recreated her role as Laura in Deadpool & Wolverine last summer, has signed with UTA.
On television, the Spanish and English stars recently starred in the Disney+Star Wars series The Acolyte, which aired from June to July last year. She played Pada One Jedi Night Jeckey Ron in the series, led by Amandra Stenberg and created by Leslie Headland.
Previously, Keene led his dark material in the BBC One/HBO fantasy series, playing Lyra Beraqua across from Ruth Wilson and James McAvoy in an adaptation of the novel by Philip Pullman that ran for three seasons from 2019 to 22.
Her work with Logan in 2017 won her acclaim, and for some time there was even talk of a spinoff film starring her character. Although it didn’t happen amid the Disney acquisition of Logan Studios 20th Century Fox, she was called to return for Deadpool and Wolverine, who won $1.3 billion worldwide. She reunited with Logan’s co-star Hugh Jackman, and was able to enter Marvel Studios’ folding for the first time.
Keen will remain with independent UK talent groups, Liebman Entertainment, Public Eye Communications and Goodman Genow.
