Will Smith is working on his infamous Oscar slap, facing his new album head-on, and all the baggage that comes with it.
Smith’s album “Based on Story Story” was dropped on Friday – his first full-length solo project in 20 years, and it soon faces a fallout that slapped Chris Rock.
The album’s opening song, “Int. Barbershop -Day” – featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff and B. Simone – kicks off with the line “Will Smith is cancelled.”
From there, it’s all the riffs and gossip about Smith, “Does the f*** think he is him?” and “I’ve never forgiven him for that kind of thing he did.”

Chris Rock’s slap will be the main focus. “I heard he’s bad / I heard he won the Oscar, but I had to give it back / And you know they just *** him because he’s black.”
Notable… Smith didn’t need to return an Oscar. You remember, the academy banned him from attending the ceremony for ten years.
The song nods to Will’s infamous explosion protecting Jada Pinkett Smith – “You have Jada Pinkett next to you, and both him and Jada are crazy – what you’re talking about / You’d better keep his wife’s name away from your mouth.”
Smith doesn’t finish reflecting the incident in 2022… In the song “you lookin’ for me?” he raps about making a comeback – “I’m back to the top / y’all gon” has to be adapted / I won’t stop my s *** / I won’t stop my s *** despite not being nominated. ”
Three years have passed since “heard all over the world,” but clearly it’s still heartfelt for Smith. He has a lot to say.
