The government has blessed the “bomb” that disgruntled war veterinarians congratulated the “bomb” and sought demonstrations against President Emerson Mnangawa to boost security across the country.
Geza is opposed to an extension of Mnangagwa’s tenure, demanding his immediate resignation, leveling allegations of corruption, tribalism and chronism. Earlier this month he was expelled from Zanu PF, where he was more of a member of the Central Committee than an unsatisfactory claim.
War Veterinarians have recently made an explosive live broadcast on March 31st asking citizens to take them to the streets.
In a statement Thursday, Home Affairs Minister Kazenbe Kazenbe warned citizens against participating in planned protests.
“Mobilized illegal activities undermines general security, peace and stability.
“The country’s security services are taking high vigilance to ensure sustainable safety and security for the public. The Zimbabwe Republic Police have made appropriate deployments to ensure socioeconomic development and an environment that encourages unobstructed movement of people in all parts of the country,” reads part of the statement.
Police then issued a two-month ban order between March 27th and May 31st, banning the transport of weapons, including swords, nobukelly, shafts, daggers, machetes and catapults in Harare and Bulawayo.
Additionally, police officers are deployed in large quantities in both urban and rural areas to maintain peace and order.
Kazembe said, “It can remind the public of the need to comply with the provisions of the Categorized Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act (Codification and Reform) Act to maintain public order. Similarly, we need not emphasize that we are all led by the provisions of Section 164 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act (Codification and Reform) and Section 164 of the Materials Protection Act.
