The third edition of ATP Business Education is in full swing, kick-off in Miami and has a series of sessions aimed at equipping players with skills beyond the courts.
Created in collaboration with La Liga, this special education initiative provides athletes with the tools to navigate the business world and encourages personal and professional growth. One of the 16 ATP players participating is ATP Player Advisory Council member Jaume Munar.
“This is a big program for us as tennis players. All the value in the industry we take from our education programs is enormous,” Muna said. “I was really looking forward to doing it… Whether it’s an event, a sporting event, when there’s a chance to (learn) everything with very good people on each topic, I think it’s great.
“As a tennis player, I think it’s a great opportunity to continue to develop myself and learn a little bit about all the events and everything we do about being behind the door. So once again, I feel it’s great and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to do this kind of program as an ATP member.”
“The former number one spot in the PIF ATP doubles rankings,” said Rohan Bopanna. “I really believe this is something that will really help you as a player who has been on this tour for almost 20 years, and I think this incredible initiative will help you live your life beyond the court.
Over the 23-hour material, including in-person sessions in Miami and Madrid, participants delve into their interests as they explore key aspects of the sports industry.
A critical feature of this year’s edition is its inclusiveness. In addition to 16 ATP players, there are also five WTA athletes in the 2025 class.
The program aims to empower athletes who will gain a deeper understanding of the business side of sports, connect with industry leaders and encourage them to take charge of their professional development. Just as your first session ends in Miami, the journey to long-term career success continues.
Classes of 2025 include Zizou Bergs, Rohan Bopanna, Radu Albot, Henry Patten, Evan King, Jaume Munar, James Duckworth, Tristan Boyer, Carlos Taberner, Constantin Frantzen, SEM Verbeek, Marco Trungelliti, Joe Salisbury, Brand nahasashima, Pa Ulrikke Eikeri, Timea Babos, Magda Lintette, Nadiia Kichenok.
