Lt. Colonel Andrew Smith of Atlanta PD told reporters that the unidentified man supposed to be a scooter suffered serious leg injuries while fleeing on foot. Smith did not detail the exact nature of the injury, but the femoral artery is in the leg.
Officers were responding to the location with their first sabotage call as the two men fled from the back of the house. One of the men – once again assumed to be a scooter – jumped two fences while trying to escape. Smith emphasized.
The prosecutor’s office said Scooter (born Kenneth Edward Bailey) had died in the incident, adding that the Grady Marcus Trauma Center had reported his death.
Young Scooter took his first big break as a rapper when he signed with FreeBandz, Future’s record label.
