Former WNBA superstar Chiney Ogwumike told TMZ Sports he absolutely affirms that he’s seeing Juju Watkins get his bucket again in the near future with hardwood buckets.
The 19-year-old Phenom went down in a USC Monday night NCAA Tournament Matchup and a torn ACL with Mississippi State… and Ogwumike doesn’t seem to sweat a bit while everyone holds his breath about how the devastating injuries will affect her insanely bright future.

When she got her two WNBA All-Stars at LAX this week, she said she was ready to make sure Juju attack the recovery process with great care and immediately score again on the court.
“Juju is the heart and soul of this city,” Ogwumike said.
Ogwumike pointed out Breanna Stewart as another reason for his confidence in Juju’s bounce back… a reminder that the New York Liberty star tore Achilles early in her career, but returned to win the championship and MVP hardware. She said Uconn’s Paige Bueckers hurt his knee in 2022 – is another example of a successful comeback where Juju can model recovery.
Additionally, Ogwumike told us that Watkins was surrounded by good friends and family.
“She has a team,” Ogumike said. “She’ll be straight.”
