Nikon Corporation (Nikon) is celebrating 100 years*1 with its microscope business this year. We want to extend our sincere appreciation to our customers, researchers, engineers and all stakeholders to help our business grow over the past 100 years.
To commemorate this milestone, Nikon’s Healthcare Business Unit has created a 100th anniversary logo for its microscope business. In addition, various events will be held starting in July 2025 to celebrate the 100th anniversary at Nikon locations in Japan and overseas. Nikon was founded in 1917 with the aim of producing optical equipment in the country. He released JoiCo Microscope*2 in 1925, and has since contributed to the development of science and industry. Nikon’s optical microscopes are used in a wide range of fields, from science and medical to industrial use.
Over the next 100 years, Nikon will continue to contribute to the development of science and industry with its products and services to meet the expectations of society and its customers.

Microscopes are one of Nikon’s flagship products and one of its core products, and for the 100 years since the launch of the JoICO Microscope in 1925, these technologies have played an important role in academic research, medical, clinical, and industrial fields. Nikon’s optical technology makes the invisible world visible.
