Part of the history of major league baseball is baseball since the 2024 World Series finals. And it may take a long time for items like this to hit the open market again!!
Harlan Werner, CEO of Memoribalia Network, saw special items at TMZ Sports before the bid was published on April 5th.
“If anyone says they don’t have the opportunity to buy the last series from the World Series, I believe it will never happen again in my life,” he said. “The team just keeps it or it won’t happen. This is a very, very, very, very unique situation.”
The balls auctioned by Will Smith’s Catching Hope Foundation are 100% certified. Werner said Major League Baseball has certified it…not to mention the fact that it was captured on camera!!
So the big question is, what will happen to the final price tag? Without the charity side, Werner believes it would have been $500,000, but now he can win more.
“People who may be trying to donate a lot of money to a city have the opportunity to write a very large check and get an incredible item,” he said.
