Kamala Harris was so surprised by the loss of Election Day to Donald Trump that she couldn’t even be defeated by words, and she felt like she had disappointed her, according to what Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi revealed they had disappointed her.
Author and journalist Amie Parnes joined us on Friday on “TMZ Live” and looks inside the Harris campaign from start to finish… Kamala was in absolute shock at the Navy Observatory when Trump declared the winner.
Tim Waltz got bad news in his hotel room in Washington, DC, so he was equally stunned…and Amy says he believed Harris and Waltz would defeat Trump and JD Vance.
Amy co-written with “The Battle: The Wildest Battle for the White House” – Jonathan Allen, who also breaks down the dynamics between Harris and the other top Democrats… i.e. Obama and Pelosi.
She says that after President Biden dropped out of the race and supported her, Obama and Pelosi wanted to do more to rally the parties around her…and Barack and Nancy felt they couldn’t win in November.
Looking back, there’s so much to learn, and Amy explains why her book can serve as a Democrat guidebook in the 2026 and 2028 elections.
