Paris – By reaffirming its support for Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara, in line with President Donald Trump’s stance conveyed to HM King Mohammed VI, the United States is repeating geopolitical choices that highlight a strong axis towards leading international player, French political scientist Christofebootin.
The Trump administration in 2020 provided more broad and important support for Morocco’s Morocco’s autonomy initiative backed by the UN, as well as for Morocco’s Morocco’s Morocco, which was supported by the United Nations, noted that Morocco’s full sovereignty over this part of its territory is clearly positive today.
Four and a half years later, the new Trump administration confirmed that the only solution to the artificial Sahara conflict is autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty.
The US choice for 2020 states: “In the next few years, I saw the positions of other states evolved, either to distance themselves from those who continue to deny the reality of Morocco in the Sahara, or to recognize Morocco sovereignty, to recognize Morocco’s sovereignty.
For Professor Butane, repeating that position in the United States has an even greater effect in the same direction.
“The situation in Morocco’s Sahara is an emerging economic hub to Africa with the Dacra Atlantic Port, and a pole of security stability amid the growing threat of the neighbouring Sahel, so other states should naturally encourage other states to join supporters of this solution.”
Remember that at a meeting in Washington on Tuesday between Foreign Minister, African Cooperation, Moroccan expatriate Nasser Bourita and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the latter reaffirmed the US’ recognition of Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara.
According to a spokesman for the US State Department, the US foreign policymakers also reiterated that the US “supports Morocco’s serious, reliable, realistic autonomy proposal as the sole basis for a fair and lasting solution to the conflict.”
Marco Rubio also reiterated that the United States “continue to believe that true autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty is the only viable solution.”
