Asia’s top junior golfers are aiming to follow in their brilliant footsteps next month, returning to Vietnam’s 16th Asian Grand Finals in the Faldo Series.
Considered the world’s best junior golf circuit, the Faldo series helped launch the careers of many top tour players, including leading winners Rory McIlroy, Danny Willett and Janichen.
And the brightest young talents from across the region will dream of fighting it on Laguna Lang Co’s Nick Faldo Signature Course from April 22-25, following in the footsteps of past champions and reaching the pinnacle of the game.
“The Faldo series has always been about providing young golfers with the opportunity to compete at an elite level and learn the skills they need to succeed in the professional game,” said Sir Nick Faldo. “Laguna Golf Lang Co is the perfect venue for the Grand Finals and offers a Championship Carriable course in a stunning location. We’ve seen many talented young players come out of this event, and we’re sure to see the field stronger this year.”

One player who knows exactly what it takes to win at Laguna Golf Lang Co is the son of last year’s champion Nguyen Duc. The 18-year-old Vietnamese star won an impressive round of 70, 69 and 69 in the 2024 edition of the tournament, finishing at -5. Since then, he has pursued a career in golf in Australia, continuing his development as a player while studying in Melbourne.
The son’s story is a testament to the growing influence of the Faldo series in Vietnam, showing how the event provides a path for young players to gain international exposure and take the next step in their careers. His success highlights the role of Laguna Golf Lang Co in promoting the next generation of golf, especially in countries where sports are rapidly developing.
Not only does Laguna Golf Lang Co hold world-class competitions, it continues to grow its reputation as one of Asia’s golf and lifestyle destinations. Snap between the forested hills of the East Sea and the Annamite Mountains, the resort offers championship golf along with luxurious accommodation, wellness experiences and cultural attractions. With its Immaculate Course Conditions and a layout designed to challenge and inspire, Ir Nick Faldo’s signature course is the stage worthy of Asian future golf stars.
This year’s event will once again reinforce the emergence of Vietnam as a key player in the global golf landscape. This is a reputation that has been strengthened by efforts such as the Vietnam Golf Coast (VGC), a marketing drive for destinations involving some of the local signature clubs.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said Stephen Banks, golf director at Laguna Golf Lang.
