Following a backlash directed at Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Nigerian Chair of the Diaspora Committee (NIDCOM), the rise in Nigerians scattered around the world has led to the rise in trafficking, child exploitation and Cameroon-based publisher Ismaila Adegbola defending her why chaidmand for the reason she serves as CANDARK MICTING CHAMEN TO DIDARK MADIS of CARDARK MICTION DARK CHAMEN TO DIDARK MADIS. Trafficking around the world.
This debate sparked a wave of debate online about those responsible for ensuring the safety and return of Nigerians.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa responded to a controversial activist, Verydarkman.
Very Darkman gave her a weekly ultimatum to save children who were trafficked to Ivory Coast as “misinformation and ignorance.”
Adegbola urges VDM to be fair enough with Abike’s role in favour of Nigerians in the diaspora and her commitment to eradicating human trafficking in many countries.
He said: “Let’s focus on solutions, not on responsibility. It’s everyone’s responsibility to come out united in the fight against human trafficking,” Adegbola said.
“It’s really disappointing to witness the recent conflict between social media activists, very Darkman and Hon. Abique Davili Erewa, Nigerian chairman of the Diaspora Committee (NIDCOM), especially on issues that are as sensitive and heartbreaking as the trafficking of the Côte de Ibois.”
“Last year, I embarked on an investigation mission to the Côte de Ivoire, documenting the harsh reality facing many children and young girls trapped in modern slavery. What I encountered was devastating and I believe this issue requires anger.

“The very Darkman may be passionate about justice, but I have to be very careful with the tone and words used in the heart. From my experience, she has shown consistent concerns about the welfare of Nigerians overseas. Naptip was fruitless – issues that must be addressed within that institution – it is unfair to place accusations on her alone.
“I also have to praise the Nigerian community at Court Divoir and the Nigerian Embassy for their resilience and efforts in addressing this issue, and they have shown leadership, compassion and commitment in the face of difficult circumstances.
“Remember: this is not a fight for one person or an agency alone. It’s our collective responsibility. It’s time to lead our energy into meaningful partnerships. We must raise awareness, empower vulnerable communities, and demand reform at all institutional levels.”
