Scott Shriner of Weezer Bass Player will play Coachella with his bandmate a few days after his wife was shot by a Los Angeles police officer and booked for an attempted murder.
Our sources say Weezer will be on stage at Coachella on Saturday and Scott promises to play despite some pretty extraordinary circumstances.
TMZ broke the story… Scott’s wife, Gillian Lauren Schliner, was shot by LAPD in a wild police chase in Los Angeles’ Eagle Rock area on Tuesday
As we said… Gillian emerged from her house with a gun in hand while officers scrutinising the area for the suspects who rescued him from the hit and rank rush. Police say officers yelled at her to drop the gun, but officers say she ignored multiple orders and she pointed the gun at the police…and police claim that she fired her weapon. Police shot her in the shoulder and she returned home.

Scott’s wife and her babysitter appeared from the house after 30 minutes, raising their hands and surrendering to the police. Our sources said Lauren was taken to hospital and treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound injury and was later booked for an attempted murder. LAPD says officers recovered a 9mm handgun at home.
Scott is said to have been inside the house during the incident…and Gillian was released on a $1 million bond.
It’s unclear whether Gillian will trek into the desert to see her husband play Coachella… but our sources say she’s “suspectful” when she appears.
Scott and Weezer bottom line… this is Hollywood and the show has to continue!!!
