Jose Luis Barrester sparked controversy in her Masters debut after admitting to urinating at Rays Creek in the opening round at Augusta National.
The US amateur champion was drawn to his major debut along with defending champion Scotty Scheffler and former World No. 1 Justin Thomas.
Barrester bouncing off two bogeys on the first three holes, then a triple bogey on the par 4 fifth to birdie in the sixth, and cancelling a bogey on the 11th hole on the next par 3.

The Spaniard noticed that in a par 5 known as Azalea, Barrester chose to complete the par hole before using Ray’s Creek as an alternative toilet spot.
“I completely forgot that there was a toilet on the left side of the tee box,” Barrester admitted to reporters after his round. “In that case, I really need to pee.”

“Where should I go and since JT [Thomas] There was a problem with the green, but “I’m just going to sneak up on the river. People probably won’t look at me that much.”
“Then they applauded for me! It was kind of funny because it was probably one of the applauses I got really loud. That wasn’t embarrassing for me.

Schaeffler aims to be the Masters’ first back-to-back winner since Tiger Woods, and has had four birdies carded at a 4-under 68, aiming to win the Green Jacket three times from Jack Nicklaus for the first time in four years.
Each of the last six men’s major champions appeared in the top four after the opening round, while 18 of the past 20 Masters champions were among the top ten after the opening day, Schaeffler showed the importance of a good start.
“I don’t think much about that,” Schaeffler said. “I really don’t care what happened in the last few tournaments.

“Whenever you get closer to the lead, I think it’s easy to win a golf tournament. That’s a simple fact in question. You have a better chance to get off to a good start and statistically win the tournament.

Schaeffler moved up and down from the front of the green to take advantage of the par 5 seconds, ejecting an astonishing 60-foot birdie on the par 3 sheet.
The eighth great pitch on the par 5 set a 12-foot birdie, moving Schaeffler to 3 under, reaching 33, the same total as the opening day of the 2023 title defense.
