UConn star Azzi Fudd says he believes the Husky got assists from Mamba and Mambashita in the title tilt last weekend… To TMZ Sports, she says she felt Kobe and Gianna Bryant “see us” during the big game.
Approximately five years after NBA legend and his daughter (who was a massive UConn fan) died in a tragic helicopter accident… FUDD says she felt their presence when she and her teammates defeated South Carolina at the national championships in San Antonio.
She told us that when someone pointed out some Bryant-related numbers in the matchup box score, it became transparent for her.
“Someone else asked me,” Fad told us this week while doing a ritual shift with KK Arnold on the cane that he raised.
“And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s God. That’s them. That’s Kobe. That’s Gigi.
Fad met the Bryant duo before their death… she actually worked with them in Los Angeles a few months before the accident. She took two poses for the photo during the on-court session, and when we reminded her of snaps, she got a little emotional… as she realized that if she had survived, she would have been “a freshman” this year.
“It definitely surpassed my heart,” she said.
Vanessa actually cried out Fad and her teammates after a big victory over the Gamecocks… And Fad said this week that she appreciated her kind words.
“Vanessa is incredible,” she said.
