Highly vigilant kwazulu-natal about heavy rain, snow potential
Kwazulu-Natal’s disaster management team remained on high alert as the state prepared for heavy rain and snowfall, the IOL reports. Siboniso Duma, a regional MEC for transport and human settlements, has received a weather report from the South African Weather Service (SAWS) warning of cold fronts and substantial temperature drops. No snowfall was observed, but drivers were urged to monitor updates and be careful. Yellow Level 4 warnings for destructive rain have been issued on most of the KZN, but some of the Eastern Cape have received Level 2 warnings. The warning was set to thousands of people ready for Easter trips, so KZN recorded the most deadly clashes of the 2024 Easter era.

When it comes to pursuing criminals, Lesufi says Gauteng has no borders and thanks the local government for eliminating bureaucratic barriers in favour of this unified approach.
Invited the American pastor who was rescued in the Eastern Cape
The American pastor Josh Sullivan, who invited him during a church service in Motherwell, Eastern Cape, was successfully rescued, the IOL reports. The Hawks has revealed that Sullivan was held at the safe home of Kwamugakki in Gukeberha. Hawks spokesman Lt. Col. Avel Humba said an operation led by the Intelligence Election had been carried out, during which officers approached the house and encountered suspects who tried to escape, and fired fire at the team. Police returned the fire and killed three suspects. Sullivan was found unharmed in the vehicle used in the attack and was immediately evaluated by medical personnel. The Hawks praised the interagency collaboration and the courage of the executives involved.
