Billy McFarland has given up on the iconic Fire Festival brand… he has announced that he has decided to sell it amid all the scrutiny surrounding the second version of the event.
The founder of Fyre Festival issued a statement Wednesday… informing fans that the past two years have completed what he’s started and is a commitment to getting things right following the absolute catastrophe of the first Fyre festival.
Billy points out that Feel Festival has dominated headlines for many years… it has attracted attention from news agencies, documentaries and many fans around the world. And this event requires a team more experienced than him to get a second event at the finish line.
McFarland then says he and his team are associated with more fires, including trademarks, intellectual property, media reach, and more, to operators who can carry out their epic vision for the festival. The Fire website has an “Auction” tab for proposed sales.

FF 2.0 has recently had a series of issues, including a controversy over whether local governments in Mexico know that festivals are supposed to be held in their cities… Billy is also mentioned in a press release – promises that some Caribbean countries are interested in holding events.
McFarland doesn’t say anywhere yet…and he says it’s perfect if everything is under the lock and key, until everything is officially far from the fire.

You know… Billy McFarland served in prison for a wire fraud in four years after the first festival failed to meet many of its promises.
This was supposed to be a shot of Billy’s redes… but his early exit certainly raises an eyebrow.
