NAIROBI – “I did not humiliate the Kishii people with witches,” Felix Odiouol, aka Jalango, of Langata, revealed on Monday after the Kenyan misquoted him following his remarks in Kittutu Chesh on Sunday.
In the widely shared video, the first term MP noted that he witnessed an evening “witch meeting” in Malani.
Jalango was part of a delegation accompanied by Vice President Kichua Kintiki of the region over the weekend.
He mentioned that he stayed at Malani Simba Lodge on Saturday, where he saw a meeting of the council’s witches.
However, the comedian-turned-politician explained that the Kenyan misquoted him.
In the video, Jalango praised Jafet Nyakundi of Kitut Chash North for his electrical connection program after mentioning the witch’s meeting.
“I see my words being misquoted, my heart is heavy. I have a deep love and respect for the Kisii community. They are my family, friends, my people. I will never humiliate them. Watch the full clip.
The online section of Kenyans, especially from the large Kishii region, was troubled by Jalango’s remarks and demanded an apology from him.
