Jeff Sperbeck, a longtime business partner of John Elway, is in the hospital for life support… Following a horrifying golf course accident over the weekend, TMZ Sports has learned.
On Saturday afternoon, he was at the Madison Club in La Quinta, California, and was in the back of a golf cart and was told something was grossly wrong… and Jeff fell from a moving car in one way or another and landed on the ground, slamming it on the head.
Jeff’s wife and at least one other person noticed that Sperbeck was down and quickly turned around to check on him. It quickly became clear that a longtime sports agent was in a bad state, and someone asked for help.
Sperbeck was rushed to a desert regional medical centre… but sadly, the prognosis is not good.
Jeff is not clinically dead, but doctors are reportedly telling his family that he has no hope of recovering…and he continues to livelihood while preparing to harvest his organs for a donation.
Sperbeck isn’t his own name, but he was contributing to the career of Elway, one of the greatest footballers of all time.
John and Jeff began working together in the early 90s, with Sperbeck serving as sports agents, business managers and business partners for over 30 years.
Elway’s Hall of Fame career ended in 1998, but the duo remained nearby… Jeff and former league MVP began the winery together in 2013.
Apart from John, Jeff represented more than 100 National Football League players in his career.
