“Courage is Contagious”: Kamala Harris encourages Americans to continue organizing Trump – VideosHarelauren Gambino
Kamala Harris warned in her first major speech since she resigned from witnessing the “abandonment of America’s best ideal wholesale” by Donald Trump’s first 100 days of power.
Speaking to a San Francisco Democrat audience, the former vice president says from members of Congress, where leaders and agencies act boldly against Trump and his active agenda, “protect those everyday Americans don’t cooperate from members of Congress who support the rule of law in the face of those who incarcerate them.”
The speech – her most powerful since Trump returned to power – marked a prominent reappearance for Harris. The former vice president who currently lives in Los Angeles and is weighing the next move – the possibility of being the governor of California next year or bidding for the presidency in 2028 has become barely noticeable since taking office in January after a catastrophic loss to Trump in November.
In her remarks, she accused Trump of deliberately sowing fear and chaos in order to integrate his enforcement power.
“They rely on the notion that if they can make some people scared, it will have a calm effect on others,” she said. “But what they’re overlooking is that fear isn’t just infectious. Courage is contagious.”
She urged Americans to continue organizing, run for their offices, and stand up for their fundamental rights and values, and declared, “Let’s lock it up.”

“I really don’t believe I’ve made a mistake,” Trump told News Nation Town Hall
Donald Trump refused to say when the trade moves would be rewarded as he joined News Nation town hall via phone last night.
According to the hill, when a new trade deal was announced, Trump was not drawn out. In the same interview, when asked to name the biggest mistake he’s ever made, the US president said he doesn’t think he’s done anything.
“It’s the most difficult question I can have because I really don’t believe I’ve made a mistake,” he said.

Speaking about the tariff move, Trump said: “And I know I’m totally doing…it’s a bit of a complicated subject.”
At City Hall, Trump said there was a “very good opportunity” for the US to do business with China over tariffs.
“Now we’re going to trade? There’s a very high chance we’ll do it, but we’re going to make it on our terms,” Trump said after calling China the “king of the US.”

Trump blames Biden for the US economy, as Harris says US President America is “selfish”
Official data shows President Donald Trump continued to blame Joe Biden as the US economy contracted in the first three months of the year. It sparked fears about the US recession and a global slowdown, but Trump tried to blame Biden on the numbers.
“This is not Trump’s stocks, it’s Biden’s stock market,” Trump wrote in the Truth Society, adding that the contraction “has nothing to do with tariffs.”
Meanwhile, former US vice president Kamala Harris bumped into Trump and his supporters on Wednesday in his first major speech since losing the November election.

The defeated Democrat said the apparent “chaos” of the past three months is actually a realisation of a long-standing plan by conservatives who use Trump to seduce the United States into their own interests.
“In fact, what we’re witnessing is the high speed event that containers are being used to speed up the agenda that has been taking place over decades,” she told an audience in San Francisco.
She continued:
An agenda to reduce public education. An agenda to reduce government and privatize its services. While giving the wealthiest person a tax deduction.
America’s narrow, self-serving vision of America, where they punish Tellers of True, support loyalty, earn cash in their powers, and leave everyone to dodge themselves.
Harris was a guest speaker at an event run by Emerge, a political organisation that recruits and trains Democrat women to run for public office.
She told the crowd that Trump was targeting universities and courts because he wanted to turn his opponents into cows.
There will be more details about this story soon, but first there will be other important developments.

The Trump administration has been in direct contact with Salvadria President Naive Buquere about the detention of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was recently deported to El Salvador prison for the detention of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, according to two people familiar with the issue. The nature of the debate and its purpose were not clear as several Trump officials said the administration was not interested in him coming back.
Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noem said if Abrego Garcia is sent back to the US, the Trump administration will “suppress him again soon.” Noem’s comments come as a federal judge once again directed the Trump administration to provide information on previous efforts to comply with an order to retrieve Abrego Garcia from a Salvador prison.
Trump dismissed concerns about the need for trade with China during cabinet meetings on Wednesday. “You know, someone said, ‘Oh, the shelves are open,'” the president said. “Well, maybe the kids have two dolls instead of 30 dolls,” he continued. “And perhaps two dolls would cost them a few dollars than they normally do.”
The Senate resolution overturning Donald Trump’s tariffs has been stalled 49-49 as two senators who supported the move to fail the vote by declaring that the president had not passed narrowly on Wednesday there was no national emergency.
Mohsen Mahdawi has left immigrant custody after a federal judge in Vermont ordered his release. Columbia University’s Palestinian green card holders and students were deported by the Trump administration on April 14, despite not being charged with a crime.
