Russell Brand was in London’s court on Friday and faced multiple rape fees. And after a brief trip to and from the judge, he came out of the free man’s building for now.
According to the New York Times, the actor’s 14-minute court appearance this morning was as easy as answering procedural questions from Judge Paul Goldspring.
Brand reportedly confirmed his name, date of birth and address in the UK before Goldspring granted him bail. The NYT said Russell thanked the judge and walked the courtroom without showing “visible emotions.”
As we reported, Brand was charged with one count of rape, one count of obscene assault, one count of oral rape and two counts of sexual assault on April 4th more than a month ago. The incident dates back to 1999.

The “Stay Free” podcast host refused all the fees while responding with social media videos he recorded while on vacation with his family in Florida.
While he denied rape everyone, he confirmed that he was “who was young before he found life in the light of the Lord” and “drug addict, sexual addiction, and stupid.”
