Actor Charlie died at 84… “Wire” horse face appeared in “Sopranos”

Charley Scalies – the character actor who played the tough character in two of the best shows ever – has died…according to reports.
A Hollywood reporter says he spoke to Charlie’s daughter, Anne Marie Scullies, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Scalies began his acting career in the mid-1990s by grabbing some parts… appeared in “Two Bits,” led by Al Pacino and in sci-fi classic “12 Monkeys,” starring Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt.
The highlights of Scalies’ career came back in 2003 when he appeared in all 12 episodes of Season 2 of “The Wire”… He performed Thomas “Horseface” Pakusa.
A year later, Scalies appeared as coach Molinaro in the EP for “The Sopranos.” Tony appears in high school, appears in Tony’s dreams, and blames him for his flaws.
Among his other credits… “Law and Order,” “Cold Case,” “Jersey Girl,” “Liberty Heights,” and “Condition Red.”
He is survived by his 62-year-old wife, Angeline, his children, Chuck, Angeline, Tony, Christa, Anne Marie, and several grandchildren.
Charlie was 84 years old.
