The Gambia ranks 58th in the World Reporters Freedom Index of this year in 180 countries founded by reporters without borders. The country remains ranked in 2024.

The editorial process, and emphasis on trusted media, provides the basis for directing public funding, guiding reference policies, and for platforms and search engines to promote trustworthy information and protecting disguise strategies.
