Ojulari also said that NNPC has resolved the feud between NNPC and the Dangote refinery.
Bayo ojulari, group CEO of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), said the oil drilling project on the Bauch and Gombe state border will resume in June.
Ojulari said this in an interview Monday about the BBC Hausa Service broadcast. He said oil drilling and AKK gas pipeline projects are important to the economy and the company will resume work on-site.
“NNPC will continue to drill oil in Kolmanifield and continue working on the AKK gas pipeline from Ajaocta to Kaduna and Kano. Companies working on the project will continue and new ones will be welcomed.
“The project is important in boosting the economy and all Nigerians will feel the impact. By next month people will start seeing it. We will start working on the AKK gas pipeline and Karmoni,” Odurali said.
The Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline Project is a 614-kilometer pipeline that transports natural gas from Ajaokuta to Kano with the midpoints of Kano, Kaduna and Zaria from Ajaokuta.
In October 2019, NNPC announced the discovery of hydrocarbon deposits at the Kolmani River II well in Upper Benutraf, Gongola Basin, in the country’s northeastern part of the country.
The Nigerian government flagged oil drilling in Cormani in 2022 in commercial quantities.

According to the NNPC, the discovery of commercial oil and gas in the Gongola Basin attracts foreign investment, creates jobs for people to earn income, and increases government revenue.
The government said over 1 billion barrels of oil and 500 billion cubic feet of gas have been discovered within the Cormani region of Gombe and Baucci, and the discovery had already raised $3 billion in investment.
Dangote refinery
Ojulari also said that NNPC has resolved its feud with the Dangote refinery.
“As Nigerians, we must honor Dangote’s courageous efforts. Even if he is invested, he is doing it in Africa. We have worked on a feud between the NNPC and the Dangote refinery. Soon, people start to see the impact.
“We are working together, and there are better days ahead. Marketers always buy fuel at the refinery. If there are obstacles, we deal with them. It’s not the news that NNPP and Dangote are fighting. Now we are working together for the benefit of Nigerians.”
