Nigeria: Exile – PDP collapse imminent – Ganduje, Week

Abuja – National Chair of APC, APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje and Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, said yesterday that the destruction of the PDP is imminent.

But Sen. Bott, PDP Council Chairman, Sen. Adolphus Wabara, said the party remains alive, as he expressed confidence in 2027 that PDP will rise again.

Gandouye, who said the PDP was heading for extinction, was responding to comments by former Jigawa governor of Sule Lamido, who claimed that the APC would soon collapse and that former PDP members, including Ganduje, would return to the opposition.

The APC Chairperson said in a statement from his top spokesman, Edwin Oloff, that such statement was “basically unfounded and illogical.”

He states:

“Under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, the APC continues to gain momentum and it is clear to discerning observers that prominent politicians across the country have died in large numbers to the party.

“With this overwhelming national support, the APC is consolidating its results and focusing on preparing for an overwhelming victory in the 2027 general election.”

He reaffirmed his pride in leading the APC, which he described as the largest political party in Nigeria and Africa.

pdp’ll bursts quickly – -wike

Former Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike said that, reflecting Ganduje’s position, the PDP would burst soon due to the dishonesty of the leaders who had stuck to fighting him for working with the APC-led administration.

Wike also warned that ahead of the 2027 presidential election, the PDP is already immunized and making the same mistake as losing the 2023 presidential election.

During Abuja’s media party, the Minister of FCT said:

“In fact, it will destroy you. If the PDP doesn’t take care of you, then if I say it again, watch what happens. You know, selfish interests can kill the organization.

“You’re not winning the election. You say you don’t want this guy. You know that a guy can fight back. Now, let’s tell you the simple truth in 2023.

“When these people are chairing, your people go to the presidential candidate. Because of selfish interest, they manipulated the system. They said no, we shouldn’t zone now.

“Before we knew it, some people were going to buy the form, we laughed. It’s okay. You don’t want to zone. Now Zone has taken the party chair. Zone has taken the presidential candidate. It’s okay.

“For peace to reign, we can have a voice. They go to the front and back. We say something in this front and behind will cost you. Of course, arrogance has come in. Look where we are.

“I have no problem. Where is the presidential office and where are they zoning the presidential seat?

“Some people who are interested say no. It’s not time. I said, how many times can you play this game? Do you think you’re smart? You go to the national tournament.

“I said today in Nigeria, the South is occupying the presidency. Why aren’t you coming out openly to say, as a party, our presidential candidates also come from the South? You don’t want to do that.

“I want to play the same game I played in 2023.” That backfires. And when it backfires, they say these people did this, these people did.

“The point is that selfishness can kill the system. For example, if the president runs in 2027 and wins in 2031, the APC will give the president’s ticket to the North.

The former governor also praised the integrity of Governor Obolebwari, Delta, who recently passed away by the APC, predicting it would be only a matter of time before the PDP burst.

He wondered why no one was criticizing Sen. Adolphus Wabara, chairman of the PDP Board.

He said: “I’ve always said leadership is important. Leadership everywhere, whether it’s an organization or business, if you don’t show the right leadership, you’ll suffer from it.

“What people are talking about, the governor of Delta and his predecessor and all their teams have moved from PDP to APC. What was he going wrong? He said he was going to support the president. Is that a crime?

“But the party’s conscience, the chairman of the PDP Council, adopted Alex Otti in the second term. Why aren’t people commenting on it?

“Now this guy (Obolehuwari) said, look, I’m not going to make that sort of pretense. I’m not here. I’d better support him. He’s a smart politician. I was surprised that the PDP said he didn’t see it coming.

“I won’t call the governor’s name. I called them. I said, I heard, heard, things were going, I warned you people, you said you were the governor. I have no problem. See what happens. The only crime is that you are the Minister of the APC Government.”

Speaking about the meeting with the PDP governor, Wike said he had reached several resolutions and expressed optimism that it would be implemented as agreed upon. “We’re waiting to see what’s going to be implemented. We’re waiting. If it’s not implemented, I won’t agree,” he said.

The minister, who dismissed the allusion that he was tearing the PDP, said, “If you follow the party’s constitution, I’m building it (PDP).”

What I said to Hubara when we met

He also gave insight into the Paarley he had with Rivers State’s suspended governor, Siminali Fabara, who said the latter visited him and was accompanied by two governors of the APC.

Wake, who didn’t want to reveal details about the meeting, told the suspended governor that he told him he had no ability to make peace. He said: “I told him I don’t think you could really make this peace.”

PDP’ll rise again in 2027 – Bot Chair, Wabara

Yesterday, in response to statements from PDP Councillors Senators Wabara, PDP Council Chairmans, Ganduje and Wike, declared that the party would rise again, reaffirming its unity and strength in line with preparations for the 2027 general election.

Wabala made a declaration during the official inauguration of Abuja’s newly appointed bot member.

The ceremony was held at the National Executive Committee, NEC, Hall.

Speaking at the event, the former Senate president said: “I am truly overwhelmed and I am sure my colleagues and friends here today share this sentiment. This speaks to the volume of our resilience and unity. “Today, we are honored to witness the inauguration of new members to the board in line with sections 32 (1F) and (g) of the party’s constitution, amended in 2027.

“This opportunity not only celebrates new beginnings, but also reaffirms our collective commitment to the values and principles that define PDPs.

“Your appointment is a call to services. It is a call to maintain the integrity, unity and vision of the PDP as we strive for more prosperity and democratic Nigeria.” As the party’s management of conscience, the Council plays an important role in providing wise advice, promoting stability and ensuring that our decisions line up with the core objectives of the PDP.

“We can join such experienced individuals on the board. Your wisdom will undoubtedly lead us to success after 2027.

“We don’t hold meetings frequently, but we will convene in response to the constitution and challenges when necessary. While the board of trustees may be perceived as late, we are intentional and diplomatic in our approach.

“The PDP will rise and the PDP will win in 2027. We are continuing to be committed to creating leaders who will prioritize the interests of all Nigerians and serve with dedication and integrity.”

“As long as the council remains vibrant, the PDP will continue to liven up. The PDP will rise again and I am confident in our collective resolve to achieve this.”
