The South African Police (SAPS) Serious Corruption Investigation Component conducted a search and seizure operation at Pretoria High Court on Tuesday.
“The operation relates to allegations of fraudulent notice of motions issued illegally by identified employees of that court,” the Department of Priority Crime Investigation said in a statement.
“The employee is said to be issuing fraudulent allegations against undocumented foreigners to prevent deportation to the country of origin.”
This issue was officially reported to the Bureau in March 2025 for a priority crime investigation (DPCI).
“This search and seizure operations are specifically targeting individuals who are considered to be at the heart of one office and the committee of these crimes. The exhibits have been seized for further investigation,” the statement said.
