According to Zambian media, Kasama Road in Lusaka, Zambia will be announced on Friday in honor of late Namibian President Haji Jingob.
Former first lady Monica Jingos confirmed attendance at the ceremony and said she was not tired of telling everyone that Zambia was his second home.
Geingob lived in Zambia and headed the UN Namibian Institute in Lusaka from its founding in 1976 until its departure from exile in 1989 to return to Namibia.
“As the first Prime Minister of newly independent Namibia, Hage has assured that Namibian government’s vehicle registration is “GRN” as a nod to Zambia’s ‘GRZ’ plate.
Zambian politician Joseph Kalymbwe describes Gingob as not only the president of Namibia, but also the son of Lusaka, who “formed the president of the South African development community who lived in our city and spoke our language.
