Star coach Peter DeBoer is currently reaching the eighth meeting final/Stanley Cup semi-finals of his coaching career.
Deboer is the fourth coach in the expansion era, reaching the Conference Finals/Stanley Cup semi-finals in each of his first three seasons with the team, and will be joining Darryl Sutter alongside Kings (2012-14), Colorado Avalanche (1999-2001) and Scotty Bowman (1968-70).
The star won two of three games against the Oilers in the regular season, surpassing 12-9. Jason Robertson (four goals, two assists) and Roope Hintz (goals, five assists) led the stars with six points in those games.
Mikko Rantanen will start 13 games from points (19) as the playoff leader for goals (9). It is the most goal in one postseason of his career, and he has a pace to crush his single playoff point high 25, which won a 20-game run of the avalanche in 2022.
