The 65-year-old British tourist was arrested on Sunday after allegedly undressed and photographed Sunchildren at the Grashow Cribbing Museum in western Tsumwe.
Senior inspector Maureen Mbeha, the community affairs director for Namibia police in the Otojozondijjupa region, told Nampa yesterday that the suspect was allegedly mentioned the private parts of the child as well.
In return, the boys and girls reportedly were compensated with money and sweets.
“The suspect is said to have touched the breasts and butts of 16 teenage girls, but 14 teenage boys and three minor boys allegedly touched the private parts,” Mbeha said.
Some of the nude photos of the children were reportedly found on the man’s camera.
Tourists who entered Namibia on May 15, 2025 on their holiday are scheduled to appear in the courthouse of Magistrate Grootfontein this week. Police investigation into the issue continues.
