Florida police pursuit of stolen ambulance… arrested beer driver chugging can

Florida police say the man stole an ambulance and led law enforcement in a wild car chase down the streets of Tampa… finishing up a can of beer before being dragged out of the driver’s seat and handcuffed…and it’s all in the video.
TMZ got footage of the dash cam from a police pursuit on Saturday…and shows Florida Highway Patrol troopers are pursuing an ambulance as emergency vehicles perform stop signs, cross traffic, drive on the wrong side of the road, and crash into the driver.
The driver finally pulls and sees him unloading a canned drink – the officer says it’s a beer – the officer opens the door and throws it on the ground.
A chase that began Saturday around 8:40pm after Florida Highway Patrol said he was warned about a Tampa Fire Rescue Ambulance stolen from HCA Southernpa Hospital.
Police say the trooper found the ambulance about 10 minutes after the call was received and attempted to stop traffic…but the driver escaped by ambulance.

According to law enforcement, 43-year-old Tampa resident Michael J. Eskillin was the driver here… and he was arrested on charges of emergency vehicle robbery, major theft of emergency vehicle, escape and evasion, driving while licence suspended, resisting arrest and DUI.
Officers say Eskirin had been drinking alcohol for the previous two days and stole an ambulance after the first responder denied him returning home.
