The 6th FIFA World Cup Qualifier match will officially begin on Sunday, March 23rd, after an exciting close to MD 5 on Saturday.

Cafonline highlights five important encounters to note in MD 6.

Group I: Madagascar vs Ghana

Ghana, who won Chad 5-0 in the previous round, leads Group I with 12 points and faces Madagascar, who sits in second place with 10 points.

The winner of this match will take the lead and edge approaching the qualifying round of the global exhibit.

Group C: Benin vs. South Africa

Qualifying Group C witnesses an exciting duel between leaders South Africa and second-placed Benin.

Host Benin aims to get three points to top three points, while South African countries are looking to widen the gap at the top, which is currently at two points.

Group D: Cameroon vs. Libya

Cameroon aims to close Cape Verde, the leader of Gap Group D.

Despite the difficult tasks on a strong and resilient Libyan team, victory is essential for the indomitable Lions to get them on track towards World Cup qualifying.

Group G: Algeria vs. Mozambique

Algeria shares the top spot in Group G with Mozambique, both of which have scored 12 points, making Algeria the advantage.

The three points of this match are extremely important for both teams. The winner is solely owning the top spot and approaching qualifications.

Group A: Egypt vs Sierra Leone

Egypt, which leads Group A by 13 points, faces second-place Sierra Leone, and is tied with Burkina Faso with eight points.

This match is extremely important for Egypt’s World Cup journey. This is because the path to qualification may depend on the outcome of this match.

Meanwhile, Sierra Leone will aim to end Egypt’s winning streak in qualifying and reduce the gap by two points if they can secure a victory in Egypt.
