With the acquisition completed, Airspan envisions full ownership and operational management of Corning’s wireless assets, including the 6000 and 6200 distributed antenna systems (DAS) and the SpiderCloud 4G and 5G Small Cell Radio Access Network (RAN) portfolio. This transaction also adds valuable intellectual property and strengthens Airspan’s team with experienced wireless professionals.
To lead this strategic expansion, Airspan has appointed Amit Jain, a veteran and former leader of the wireless industry, as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Building Networks.
