“American Idol” alum Antonera Barba has returned to Slammer to violate federal supervised release, TMZ learned.
The singer, who gained fame in the sixth season of the hit series and previously served prison time on drug charges, is said to have been picked up by PT. New Jersey’s Pleasant Beach Police Station is on Sunday night at a vehicle stop.
A former US official said Antonella’s arrest on domestic violence charges from two weeks ago had been claiming a warrant, and federal probation from an old drug case was violated based on new charges.
Records show that she was released from Essex County Correctional Facility on Tuesday and will be held home detention on electronically surveillance until the next court hearing on April 29th.
As mentioned earlier, Antonella spent quite a bit of time in federal prison… arrested in 2018 and was convicted in 2019 for committing a crime with the intent to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl.
In August 2022, her probation officer said he had made a home visit and discovered he had moved from an approved residence in Point Pleasant the previous month. She was then placed under a curfew and agreed to wear an electronic ankle bracelet.
Things went even further downhill for Antonella in late November 2024. She was allegedly involved in a domestic violence case with her former partner — named KH in court documents — was accused of punching Barba in the face and forcing her to open her skin and stitch.
Probation officers say Antonella was kicked out of a domestic violence shelter this January. It is said that compromising the location by sharing it with KH was separate involved in Rutherford and East Orange Police Stations this February.
She is currently being ordered to stop all contact with KH and her family as part of her home arrest.
We contacted Antonella’s lawyers… so far, there are no words.
