Andrew Tate is known for his prejudice towards sports cars
Controversial influencer Andrew Tate is speeding at 196km/h (121mph) in Romania’s 50km/h zone, officials said.
British-American citizens recorded that they were driven at almost four times the speed limit for a village about 184 km from Bucharest’s Romanian capital.
The 38-year-old received a fine of 310 pounds ($420) in line with local traffic laws and has suspended his driver’s license for 120 days due to the severity of the crime, police said.
The self-proclaimed misogynist and his brother Tristan are currently facing charges such as separate allegations in the UK and the US, including rape and human trafficking in Romania. They deny fraud.
The brothers are permitted to travel to Romania where they live, subject to conditions ordered by court while they filed their lawsuit.
Andrew Tate was involved in a speeding violation in the Central Village of Bugioreni on Saturday, police said.
In a statement, they added that excessive speed has remained one of the major causes of road deaths in Romania.
Elder Tate often showed off his collection of sports cars, including Bugattis and Lamborghini, and frequently posted photos of himself on social media.
The former kickboxer has gained millions of followers online. He often mixes political messages with an introduction to a flashy lifestyle.
He has been speeding multiple times in Romania.
Local reports say in April 2021, Tate was stopped in a town near Bucharest as it was supposed to be driving at 138 km/h in a town near Bucharest. A year ago he was fined for speeding in Germany.
As part of the legal process against him, some of his luxury cars were seized by Romanian authorities in 2023.

Tate reportedly criticised British police for refusing to bribe during a traffic stop, calling it “aggressive.” He cited an attitude that seemed to be the reason to move the business to Romania in 2017.
The central theme of Tate’s online messaging is the idea that a successful individual “elite club” lives freely from the challenges faced by others.
Tate said he escaped the “Western World” by “moving the “Western World” to Romania.
Fansites say, “If there’s corruption there, if it does, let us all play.”
British prosecutors said Andrew and Tristan Tate will return to the UK and face 21 criminal charges, including rape and human trafficking.
The brothers are also facing another civil lawsuit brought on by four women who claim they were forced into sex work.
Andrew Tate is also facing a US lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, who accused sexual assault.
The brothers characterized themselves as innocent in relation to all the cases against them.
