Flat action will return to Doncaster on Saturday as Lincoln Meetings finds exciting live live days at Sky Sports Races…
3.35 Doncaster – Professor is trying to hold the crown of Lincoln
William Hill Lincoln saw an attractive card at Doncaster on Saturday, indicating that the British flat season is back.
He’s four pounds higher than when he landed this race last year, and has since arrived here for Rafael Freire with three competitive handicaps. The handicapper was not really forgiving, but there is no record of his record that means Fresh is not the person he would discount.
Thunder Run’s connections, given his profile, expect positive efforts. He ran well on two big field handicap towards the end of last season, winning at York and losing nothing in a loss at Ascott’s Balmoral. As the season enters, 100 is 100 means he could be a group horse that fits a suitable profile for this race.
Hamad Al Jehani hopes to attack Gold for Wasnan early this season, allowing him to get off to the best possible start with a gelled progressive midnight gun ahead of the first run of the season. He still won’t win with his new trainer, but he has some solid form for Ed Walker and could be a better horse this season.
3.00 Doncaster – Doncaster Mile’s Dance Gemini, Liberty Lane, Plant Characteristics
Roger Thiel hopes to stomp the season in style with Star Dancing Gemini, a steady star dancer in the William Hill Doncaster Mile Stakes. Kieran Shoemark will reunite with Colt for the first time since the coral eclipse has run.
Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum passes the mob here along with Liberty Lane and Botanical. Carl Burke tops the field with last season’s impressive Cambridgeshire winner Liberty Lane, and Cliffordley remains in the partnership. This seems like a good place to start for a progressive 5 year old.
Botanical had a pleasant debut for the George Boy team when he underwent wind surgery prior to his re-appearance and was caught late in the listing contest at Goodwood. This trip drop asks for his new questions, but he is extremely capable and should be on the premises.
2.25 Doncaster – Campaign in Iberia and James’ Joy Campaign
James’ Joy has a progressive profile for this update of William Hill’s latest latest Cam Midge Trophy Stakes. Rossa Ryan lifts his leg for the first time. He went on to 88-110 ratings and won the race listed at Deauville towards the end of last season. For this progressive 4 year old, the softer the better the ground.
Charlie Hills brings the Iberian here, following the all-weather confidence booster in December. He defeated two-year-old Rosalion, but didn’t kick much in his classic campaign. Building on that recent victory, he will surely get close.
Marshman is only struggling to beat the neck in this race last year, and is looking to be better for the Burke team. He is busy with all-weather this year and has fitness on his side, so another bold bid is expected.
Best remaining –
5.35am Rosehill -Tancred Stakes
Dubai Honor, Vauban and Duke de Sessa all appear in the group of Kia Tancred Stakes in Rose Hill early on Saturday morning.
Dubai’s honor is intended to reappear the season by running Belter in a Hong Kong vase at his final start, and given the recent forms of William Hagas and Tom Marquand are below, he is risky to the discount.
Vauban has already done a big splash since switching to Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott’s Yard, and needs to be fully tuned to this.
Duke de Sessa once was with Ireland’s Dermot Weld, but has earned some major performances since being sent to Australia.
4.00 Saint -Cloud -Prix Edmond Blanc
Sparks Fly is lined up at Edmond Blanc Prix on Saint-Cloud to land Four Timer. She finally saw her escape in this course and in a contest listed in November distance. This may seem like a hard contest, but given her condition, it would be difficult for her to object.
Last season, Alcanto finished with three impressive wins on this track and travel and may be able to come from him.
Marhaba Ya Sanafi and Vertbois will resume their horn locked horns here at the beginning of the moon and will certainly be involved in the finish on their side.
Also, on Saturday evenings, the Kentucky Derby Pointer is on the channel…
10.42 Gulf Stream – Florida Derby
Sovereignty has established itself as a luxury outlook with impressive displays with streetsense betting and more recently a fountain of youth stakes on this course.
He is already facing strong areas in his bids to strengthen his high ratings, including the attractive qualifications Discruptor and the promising Tappan Street.
11.48 Oak Lawn – Arkansas Derby
Coal combat and Konukopians will face off on Saturday evening at the Arkansas Derby in Oak Lawn Park. The latter is very exposed, but he ran out of his only ready-to-start winner and was able to do anything for this new trip.
The coal battle has been a revelation since switching to dirt, and has been seen to perform seriously to land a rebel stake on the same card as Cornucopia’s defeat. He has to lose weight to all his rivals, but it’s no surprise to see him continue to improve.
The magic of Sandman and Monet is tied to the coal battle, but they have something to do to threaten their rivals in all known forms.
