Spain’s Cara Barnat Skaider delivered performance gems with a clutch flop shot, launched the back nine, and won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur title with a 4-foot putt at 4-under 68.
Growing up in the same area as Masters champion Sergio Garcia and US amateur champion Joselis Barrester, Barnat Escader, he was two-shot deficit against British defending champion Lotty Wood, thwarting a late accusation by Asterisk Taly at Augusta National.
“At this point, I don’t think my brain won the brain processed,” Burnut Escader said after determining a one-shot success with a 204-under total.

She did it with a bit of help from Spanish heritage. Garcia’s father, Victor, is one of her coaches, and recently leaned over to Barrester – they’ve been friends since the age of seven – because she felt she lacked a short game.
When Bernat Escuder started Back Nine, it was tested rigorously. She left the approach of the bunker to the right, with the golf ball slightly above her foot. Bernat Escuder hit a fantastic flop shot up to 12 feet and drilled a hole in the Par Putt.
“I saw all the masters and I knew the tournament would start at No. 10,” she said. She is a reference to the famous phrase that the Masters won’t start until Buck 9 on Sunday. “As soon as I hit that second shot I was like, ‘Oh, I need to put it together and get this par.” I dig and I think that’s the key. ”

Her lead was only one shot at that point – she went out at 33 – and it was about to change.
Woad was looking to become the first back-to-back winner of Augusta National Women’s Amateur. She was tied to the lead, with Chiara Romero entering the final group, birding the first hole, leading with two early on. But it was all settled back on the 10th.

From the fairway, she was offensive with her approach, pulling the shot into the bushes on the left and above the greenery. Woad got a penalty drop, missed a putt and gave him a double bogey, leaving behind three shots.
“I put a good swing on it, it was just the wrong club,” said Woad, who went with the five irons. “I thought it was meant to get caught in the wind, and it came out a little flat from the downslope so I probably hit one club. Then I got into an unfortunate position, so I was probably going to make six from there.”
She had to chase her like she delivered a memorable back nine charge a year ago. This time she only managed two birdies, closing at 72 and third at 9 under.
“I’m pretty annoyed,” Udo said.

The charges came from U.S. female amateur and U.S. junior girls runner-up Tally.
After leaving Birdie on the 16th and reaching within three shots, Tally made an astonishing recovery from under the pine to the left of the 17th fairway. The ball stayed under the limbs, was wound up along the edge of the bunker, using all the slopes to reach approximately 18 feet behind the hole.
Instead of scrambling Parr, she stops putting to give Birdie a chance.
However, Talley was too strong in her approach on the 18th, leaving the ball in the upper layer in a hole about 40 feet away at a typical Masters Sunday location. She did well on two putts for par and 68.
The group behind him was Barnat Escader, who was on the Thursday on the 17th, and he put it in a bunker to make a bogey. It cut her lead into one shot playing in one hole.

The Spaniards discovered the fairway, collided with the upper tier, navigating a four-foot putt to finish one above the Tully, claiming success to be as honorable as the amateur events of women around the world.
